Sales & Business Development Manager – Seafood Industry (UAE)

Adecco is recruiting on behalf of its client for an experienced Sales & Business Development Manager in the seafood industry with strong UAE market exposure and international seafood trading experience. In this position, you will oversee seafood sales operations, drive business development initiatives, and expand both B2B and B2C seafood sales channels across the UAE and international markets. The role includes managing customer relationships, sourcing seafood products, handling procurement activities, coordinating supply chains, and leading the sales team to achieve defined business growth and revenue objectives. You will leverage an established UAE seafood customer base, extensive supplier networks, and international market knowledge to generate immediate and long-term business opportunities for the client.

What You Will Do?

  • Develop and execute comprehensive sales and business development strategies that align with company growth targets and overall seafood trading objectives.
  • Identify and assess new markets, customers, and business opportunities within the seafood industry across UAE and international regions.
  • Manage and expand B2B and B2C seafood sales channels, ensuring steady volume growth and diversification of the customer portfolio.
  • Maintain and further develop relationships with existing customers, buyers, distributors, wholesalers, retailers, restaurants, hotels, and other key business partners in the seafood sector.
  • Utilize established UAE customer databases and long-standing industry contacts to generate immediate sales opportunities and sustainable business growth.
  • Manage seafood procurement activities, including supplier sourcing, product selection, price negotiation, purchasing decisions, and supplier coordination across the supply chain.
  • Source seafood products from reliable international suppliers and oversee end-to-end procurement activities to ensure consistent product availability and quality.
  • Negotiate product pricing, commercial contracts, payment terms, and broader commercial agreements with suppliers, customers, and distributors.
  • Manage supplier relationships, assess competitiveness, and ensure cost-effective and reliable sourcing across global seafood markets.
  • Lead, monitor, train, and support the sales team to achieve individual and company sales targets and fulfill defined business development objectives.
  • Set clear sales targets, monitor KPIs, review sales performance, and implement improvement strategies to address gaps and optimize results.
  • Prepare detailed sales reports, market analysis documents, forecasts, and structured business development plans for management review and decision-making.
  • Coordinate closely with procurement, operations, logistics, and finance teams to ensure smooth order execution, delivery, and post-sales follow-up.
  • Manage customer requirements from initial enquiry stage through order processing, completion, and delivery, ensuring defined service levels are met.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities through effective sourcing strategies and structured supplier negotiations across different seafood product categories.
  • Develop long-term partnerships with seafood exporters, importers, distributors, wholesalers, retailers, restaurants, hotels, and other key industry players worldwide.

Your Skills

  • Minimum 15 years of experience in Sales & Business Development, preferably in the seafood trading industry with strong exposure to the UAE market environment.
  • Strong experience handling B2B and B2C seafood sales across UAE and international markets, including management of diverse customer segments.
  • Extensive knowledge of seafood products, trading processes, sourcing models, procurement practices, suppliers, customers, distributors, and international seafood markets.
  • Strong experience in seafood procurement and sourcing, including supplier identification, vendor management, price negotiation, purchasing, and supply chain coordination.
  • Established UAE seafood customer base and a strong customer database that has been developed and maintained through years of industry experience.
  • Strong existing customer list including seafood buyers, importers, distributors, wholesalers, retailers, restaurants, hotels, and B2B and B2C customers within the UAE.
  • Established personal business relationships and direct connections with key seafood industry customers, with demonstrated ability to generate immediate sales opportunities.
  • Strong network of seafood suppliers, exporters, vendors, and sourcing partners worldwide, covering multiple product categories and regions.
  • Experience maintaining and developing customer databases, supplier lists, vendor contact records, and broader market networks for ongoing commercial use.
  • Proven ability to develop new markets, acquire new customers, and generate new business opportunities within the seafood trading and distribution ecosystem.
  • Strong skills in sales planning, forecasting, pipeline management, reporting, and KPI monitoring to guide commercial decisions and performance management.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills with customers, suppliers, distributors, and business partners in both domestic and international contexts.
  • Ability to set realistic yet challenging sales targets, develop sales strategies, monitor performance, and achieve defined revenue objectives consistently.
  • Proven experience in achieving sales targets and driving measurable business growth in seafood trading or closely related industries.
  • Experience in managing, training, motivating, and monitoring sales teams to ensure alignment with company objectives and performance standards.
