Job Summary

The Technical Manager (Architectural) is responsible for managing and coordinating all architectural and technical aspects of the project from design development through construction and handover. The role ensures that architectural designs, shop drawings, material submissions, and construction activities comply with project specifications, quality standards, authority regulations, budget requirements, and project schedules. The Technical Manager serves as the key liaison between the client, consultants, subcontractors, and project teams, providing technical leadership and ensuring successful project delivery.

Candidate Profile

Responsibilities

·        Review architectural drawings, shop drawings, material submittals, and technical proposals.

·        Ensure compliance with project specifications, UAE codes, and authority regulations.

·        Lead design coordination among Architectural, Structural, MEP, and BIM teams.

·        Resolve design clashes and technical issues through interdisciplinary coordination.

·        Manage design development and consultant approvals.

·        Implement value engineering solutions while maintaining quality and functionality.

·        Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture (Master’s Degree preferred).

·        Minimum 12-15 years of experience in architectural design and construction.

·        At least 5 years of experience in a Technical Manager or Senior Architectural Management role.

·        Proven experience with high-rise buildings, commercial developments, mixed-use projects, hospitality, or large-scale master developments.

·        Strong knowledge of UAE building regulations, authority approval procedures, and construction standards.

·        Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, BIM 360, and MS Office.

·        Strong expertise in architectural design review, technical coordination, and BIM management.

·        Demonstrated ability to manage consultants, subcontractors, and multidisciplinary teams.

·        Experience in value engineering, technical problem-solving, and design optimization.

·        Sound understanding of contract administration, specifications, and FIDIC contracts.

·        Excellent leadership, communication, stakeholder management, and decision-making skills.

·        PMP, BIM Certification, or professional architectural memberships are considered an added advantage.

·        Prior experience with Main contractors in major UAE developments is highly preferred.
