Tax Manager – Michael Page International (UAE) Limited

Looking for an experienced Tax Manager to take ownership of the tax function within a growing international group. Based in Dubai, this standalone role will be responsible for overseeing tax matters across multiple jurisdictions, partnering with senior stakeholders and external advisors to ensure compliance, manage risk and support strategic business initiatives.

Description

[ Lead and manage all tax matters across the Group’s international operations

[ Oversee corporate income tax, VAT/GST, withholding tax and other direct and indirect tax obligations

[ Manage UAE Corporate Tax and VAT compliance requirements

[ Coordinate tax reporting and compliance across multiple jurisdictions

[ Review and advise on cross-border transactions and international business activities

[ Assess the tax implications of intercompany arrangements, financing structures, dividends and royalty payments

[ Evaluate withholding tax positions and permanent establishment exposure across jurisdictions

[ Support transfer pricing compliance, documentation reviews and benchmarking exercises

[ Liaise with external tax advisors on tax returns, tax opinions, audits and regulatory matters

[ Monitor changes in tax legislation and assess their impact on the business

[ Support tax planning initiatives and advise on efficient structures for investments and growth projects

[ Review the tax implications of acquisitions, disposals, restructurings and corporate transactions

[ Partner with Finance and Treasury teams on funding and financing arrangements

[ Identify potential tax risks and ensure appropriate controls and processes are implemented

[ Manage tax audits, disputes and correspondence with tax authorities

[ Ensure accurate tax provisions and disclosures are reflected in financial reporting

[ Maintain a comprehensive tax compliance calendar and ensure statutory deadlines are met

[ Develop and maintain tax policies, procedures and governance frameworks

[ Provide practical tax advice to commercial and operational teams

[ Act as the primary tax subject matter expert across the organisation

[ Travel regularly to international operating locations, including Africa, Asia-Pacific and other jurisdictions as required

Profile

[ Qualified CA, ACCA or equivalent professional qualification

[ 8 to 12 years of relevant tax experience

[ Previous experience within a Big 4 firm and/or multinational group environment

[ Strong background in international taxation and cross-border transactions

[ Solid understanding of UAE Corporate Tax and VAT

[ Experience with transfer pricing principles and documentation requirements

[ Knowledge of withholding taxes and international tax treaties

[ Ability to work independently in a standalone role

[ Commercially minded with strong analytical capabilities

[ Experience managing external advisors and tax authority relationships

[ Exposure to operations across Africa and/or the Asia-Pacific region would be beneficial

[ Willingness and ability to undertake regular international travel – travelling on a monthly basis to the Africa offices
