Sr. Site Engineer – Plumbing – Al Shirawi Group

The Senior Site Engineer – Plumbing is responsible for supervising, coordinating, and executing plumbing works at site to ensure timely completion of the project in compliance with contract specifications, quality standards, approved drawings, and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities Site Execution & Supervision

• Lead and supervise plumbing works including water supply, drainage, soil & waste systems, storm water, pumps, and associated equipment.
• Ensure plumbing installations are carried out as per approved drawings, specifications, and method statements.
• Coordinate daily site activities and guide site engineers, foremen, and technicians.
• Monitor work progress and ensure adherence to project schedules.

Technical Responsibilities

• Review plumbing shop drawings, layouts, and material submittals.
• Resolve technical issues at site and provide practical engineering solutions.
• Supervise testing, flushing, disinfection, and commissioning of plumbing systems.
• Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and local authority regulations.

Coordination & Communication

• Coordinate with consultants, clients, subcontractors, and other MEP trades to avoid clashes and delays.
• Attend site meetings and provide technical inputs and progress updates.
• Coordinate with QA/QC team for inspections and approvals.

Planning & Cost Control

• Plan manpower and resources efficiently to meet project targets.
• Coordinate material delivery and ensure availability at site.
• Monitor material usage and minimize wastage.
• Support identification of variations, additional works, and technical clarifications.

Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain inspection requests (IRs), test reports, and daily progress records.
• Assist in preparation and updating of as-built drawings.
• Support preparation of handover documents and O&M manuals.
