Sr. Site Engineer – HVAC – Al Shirawi Group

The Senior Site Engineer – HVAC is responsible for supervising, coordinating, and executing HVAC works at site to ensure completion of the project within approved timelines, specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities Site Execution & Supervision

• Lead and supervise HVAC works including chillers, AHUs, FCUs, ducting, piping, insulation, ventilation, and associated equipment.
• Ensure HVAC installations are executed as per approved shop drawings, specifications, and method statements.
• Guide and supervise site engineers, foremen, and technicians on daily activities.
• Monitor progress and productivity to achieve project milestones.

Technical Responsibilities

• Review HVAC shop drawings, layouts, coordination drawings, and material submittals.
• Resolve technical and coordination issues at site and provide effective solutions.
• Supervise testing, adjusting, balancing (TAB), and commissioning of HVAC systems.
• Ensure compliance with ASHRAE standards, project specifications, and local authority regulations.

Coordination & Communication

• Coordinate with consultants, clients, subcontractors, and other MEP trades to avoid clashes and delays.
• Attend coordination and progress meetings and provide technical inputs.
• Coordinate with QA/QC team for inspections, testing, and approvals.

Planning & Cost Control

• Plan manpower, equipment, and resources efficiently to meet project schedules.
• Coordinate procurement and timely delivery of HVAC materials to site.
• Monitor material usage and control wastage.
• Support identification of variations, additional works, and technical clarifications.

Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain inspection requests (IRs), test reports, and daily/weekly progress records.
• Assist in preparation and updating of as-built drawings.
• Support preparation of HVAC handover documents and O&M manuals.
