Senior Mechanical Engineer – Offshore – RTC1 Recruitment Services
Job Description:
- Leads the design, installation, and commissioning of all mechanical systems on a project, ensuring technical specifications, budget and schedule are met as per requirements. This involves acting as a technical expert, mentoring junior engineers, and coordinating with other disciplines throughout the project cycle.
- Serves as the authority for all mechanical aspects of a project, including HVAC, plumbing, drainage, fire protection, and other specialized systems. This involves reviewing and approving technical submittals, calculations, shop drawings, and equipment specifications.
- Conducts regular on-site inspections to monitor construction activities and ensure they adhere to contract documents, specifications, and quality standards. This includes issuing Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) for violations and helping to resolve quality issues.
- Provides critical input on project planning, budgeting, and scheduling for mechanical works. The role also involves managing the mechanical scope, evaluating contractor proposals, and assisting with claims.
