Project Engineer- HVAC – Al Shirawi Group
The Project Engineer – HVAC is responsible for planning, execution, coordination, and monitoring of HVAC works at site to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with contract specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements.
Key Responsibilities Project Execution & Coordination
- Assist the Project Manager in planning and execution of HVAC works.
- Coordinate with consultants, clients, subcontractors, and internal teams for smooth project delivery.
- Review project drawings, specifications, and BOQs related to HVAC systems.
- Prepare method statements, work schedules, and material submittals.
- Monitor site progress and ensure adherence to approved drawings and timelines.
Technical Responsibilities
- Supervise installation, testing, and commissioning of HVAC systems including chillers, AHUs, FCUs, ducting, piping, and ventilation systems.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, ASHRAE standards, local authority regulations, and safety norms.
- Identify technical issues at site and propose effective solutions.
- Conduct inspections and ensure quality control of HVAC works.
Planning & Cost Control
- Assist in preparation of work programs and manpower planning.
- Coordinate material procurement and ensure timely availability at site.
- Monitor material consumption and control wastage.
- Support in variation identification, technical clarifications, and site instructions.
Documentation & Reporting
- Prepare daily/weekly progress reports.
- Maintain as-built drawings, inspection requests (IRs), and test reports.
- Coordinate with QA/QC team for inspections and approvals.
- Assist in preparation of handover documents and O&M manuals.
