Mechanical Technician – TASC Outsourcing

Job Title – Mechanical Technician

Type – Full-Time

Salary – AED 4,500 per month

Mandatory Details/Skills

• Perform routine mechanical maintenance on cap manufacturing machines, including presses, lining machines, and knurling/curling units.
• Carry out breakdown maintenance and restore equipment to operational condition with minimal downtime.
• Execute preventive maintenance schedules as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor.
• Inspect machinery regularly for wear, misalignment, lubrication issues, and mechanical defects.
• Replace worn-out machine components such as bearings, belts, gears, seals, and other mechanical parts.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical faults, including vibration, overheating, abnormal noise, and equipment failure.
• Identify root causes of equipment issues and implement effective corrective actions.
• Assist in the installation, setup, testing, and commissioning of new machinery and production equipment.
• Adjust machine settings during product changeovers to meet production and quality specifications.
• Ensure proper machine alignment, clearances, and tolerances for efficient operation.
• Fine-tune equipment to maintain product quality, including cap dimensions and lining consistency.
• Follow all health, safety, and environmental (HSE) procedures and use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Record maintenance activities, repairs, spare parts usage, and equipment service history.
• Maintain accurate logs of machine performance, downtime, and maintenance activities.
• Work closely with production operators and supervisors to resolve machine-related issues and improve equipment reliability.
• Comply with company policies, procedures, and operational standards.
• Perform additional duties assigned by management within the scope of the role.

Key Skills Required

• Diploma or Associate Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Mechanical Technician in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in cap manufacturing, can manufacturing, metal packaging, or similar production industries is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, machine maintenance, and industrial equipment.
• Hands-on experience with preventive maintenance, breakdown maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and technical manuals.
• Basic computer knowledge for maintenance reporting and documentation.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work in shifts and in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
