Description
This is the central operational link between vessels, crew, and shore-based departments. This role is fully focused on marine operations and requires hands-on coordination of vessel matters, crew logistics, safety, compliance follow-up, and cross-functional communication to ensure uninterrupted fleet performance.
This is a high-responsibility role requiring maturity, urgency, and strong decision-making in a fast-paced maritime environment.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all operational vessel matters
- Coordinate communication between vessels, crew, and internal departments
- Oversee full crew logistics including travel arrangements, transfers, medical appointments, and essential provisions
- Respond promptly to crew-related emergencies
- Monitor compliance with international and local maritime regulations
- Track and ensure timely renewal of crew certifications, vessel documentation, and insurance policies
- Follow up on annual dry dock schedules and required inspections
- Act as a central liaison between accounts, technical, purchasing, and operations teams
- Adapt communication style to effectively engage with stakeholders across different regions, including West Africa and Europe
- Anticipate operational risks and implement proactive solutions to maintain uninterrupted vessel performance
