Job Performer E&I – ACC – UAE

Job Purpose

To safely execute and perform Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) activities at site as per ADNOC standards, approved job plans, PTW requirements, and project specifications. The Job Performer shall ensure full compliance with HSE rules, technical procedures, drawings, and ADNOC codes of practice.

Permit to Work (PTW) Responsibilities
[ Review Job Safety Analysis (JSA), HSE risk assessments, and toolbox talks before starting work.
[ Act as authorized Job Performer under ADNOC PTW system.
[ Ensure all isolation plans (LOTO), tags, barricading, and safety requirements are correctly implemented.
[ Coordinate with Area Authority, Issuing Authority, and Site Supervisors.

1. Electrical Technical Tasks

[ Perform installation, testing and commissioning of:

[ LV/MV electrical systems
[ Power & control cables (glanding, termination, meggering)
[ Switchgear, MCC panels, VFDs, transformers, bus ducts
[ Lighting systems, earthing & bonding systems

Carry out IR/PI tests, continuity checks, loop checks, torque tightening and inspection as per standard.

Perform troubleshooting of electrical equipment under supervision.
1. Instrumentation Technical Tasks

[ Carry out installation, calibration, testing and loop checking for:

[ Field instruments (pressure, temperature, flow, level)
[ Control valves, MOVs, analyzers, transmitters
[ DCS/ESD/SCADA I/O systems
[ Junction boxes, marshalling cabinets, impulse lines

Perform instrument tubing fabrication, routing, flushing, air-blowing and leak-test.

Execute SAT/FAT support activities where required.
1. Compliance & Standards

[ Ensure all E&I work complies with:

[ ADNOC Codes of Practice
[ IEC/IEEE standards
[ Project specifications, method statements, ITPs & drawings

Maintain quality documentation: checklists, as-built updates, inspection reports.
1. HSE Responsibilities

[ Ensure all work is carried out with full compliance to HSE policies.
[ Participate in hazard identification (HAZID), TBT, near miss reporting.
[ Ensure proper use of PPE, tools, equipment, and safe work practices.

Required Competencies
[ Strong knowledge of ADNOC PTW system (JP role).
[ Hands-on experience in E&I installation, testing, commissioning.
[ Ability to interpret P&IDs, SLDs, Hook-up drawings, Wiring diagrams.
[ Skilled in instrument calibration tools (HART communicator, pressure pumps).
[ Fault finding & troubleshooting capability.
[ Understanding of hazardous area classification (ATEX/IECEx).

1. Qualifications

[ Diploma or ITI in Electrical / Instrumentation Engineering (minimum 2–3 years program).
[ ADNOC-approved Job Performer certification (preferred or must be obtained before mobilization).
[ Additional certifications:

[ CompEx / Hazardous Area certification (advantage)
[ LOTO, H2S, confined space, working at height

Experience Requirements
[ 3 – 8 years of experience in Electrical & Instrumentation construction or maintenance.
[ Minimum 3–5 years in Oil & Gas (mandatory).
[ Prior experience in:

[ EPC or Maintenance projects
[ ADNOC Onshore/Offshore sites (Highly Preferred)
[ Brownfield & shutdown/turnaround work
