IT Manager – Infrastructure & Systems – Eeternal Developments
We are looking for an experienced and hands-on IT Manager to set up, manage and maintain the complete IT infrastructure for our new Dubai office.
- The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all IT systems, hardware, software, connectivity, cybersecurity and user support operate reliably and efficiently. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who has experience setting up and managing IT infrastructure for a professional office environment in Dubai/UAE, preferably within an architecture, engineering, real estate, construction or design-related organisation. Prior experience working in Dubai is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, set up and manage the complete IT infrastructure for the new Dubai office.
- Install, configure and maintain computers, laptops, servers, networking equipment, Wi-Fi, printers, scanners and other IT hardware.
- Manage the office network, internet connectivity, switches, routers, firewalls and related infrastructure.
- Set up and administer email systems, user accounts, Microsoft 365/Google Workspace and other business applications.
- Manage installation, configuration, licensing and maintenance of ERP and business management software.
- Support and manage software used by architectural and design teams, including AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite and other CAD/BIM/design applications.
- Ensure appropriate hardware specifications and performance for high-end architectural and design workloads.
- Implement and maintain antivirus, endpoint protection, firewalls and cybersecurity systems.
- Establish robust data backup, disaster recovery and business continuity procedures.
- Manage shared drives, cloud storage, access permissions and data security.
- Install and maintain printers, scanners, digital display boards, meeting-room technology, video conferencing systems and other office technology.
- Provide day-to-day technical support to employees and troubleshoot hardware, software, network and connectivity issues.
- Manage IT procurement, vendor relationships, software licences, warranties and maintenance contracts.
- Maintain an up-to-date inventory of all IT hardware, software and licences.
- Establish IT policies relating to cybersecurity, passwords, access control, backups, acceptable usage and data protection.
- Monitor system performance and proactively identify and resolve potential IT issues.
- Coordinate with external IT service providers and specialist vendors where required.
- Ensure that IT infrastructure is scalable and capable of supporting the company’s future growth.
