HSE Officer – CODA Group of Companies

We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Officer to join our dynamic team in Dubai. Requirements:

  1. Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or related field
  2. First Aid and Fire Safety certification
  3. Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  4. Excellent communication skills in English 
  5. Strong report writing and documentation skills
  6. Certifications (minimum one required):
  • NEBOSH International General Certificate (IGC) or Diploma
  • IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent
  • OSHA certification
  • OSHAD (preferred for Abu Dhabi projects)
  • Experience in Construction

Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct regular safety inspections and audits across all company facilities to identify potential hazards, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and minimizing risk exposure.
  2. Develop and implement safety training programs for employees, utilizing various instructional methods to enhance understanding and adherence to safety protocols.
  3. Investigate incidents and accidents, preparing comprehensive reports that detail findings and recommend measures to prevent future occurrences, thus fostering a safer workplace.
  4. Collaborate with management to create and maintain a safety management system that aligns with industry standards and enhances overall operational safety.
  5. Monitor and analyze safety performance metrics, providing actionable insights and recommendations to improve safety practices and reduce incidents.
  6. Stay updated on relevant health and safety legislation and best practices, ensuring that the organization remains compliant and aware of any changes in regulations.
  7. Engage employees in safety initiatives, promoting a culture of safety through awareness programs and encouraging active participation in safety committees.
  8. Assist in the development and review of safety policies and procedures, ensuring they are effective and reflective of current best practices in health and safety.
  9. Provide expert advice and support to management and employees on health, safety, and environmental matters, fostering a proactive approach to safety across the organization.
