Description
Oversee all accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities.Ensure compliance with tax regulations and manage tax planning and reporting.Prepare and present accurate financial statements to senior management.Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures in line with regulatory requirements.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business objectives within the property industry.Manage and mentor a team of accounting professionals, fostering a culture of excellence.Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting for internal and external stakeholders.Drive process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of accounting and tax operations.
Profile
A successful Head of Accounting and Tax should have:
A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, along with relevant professional qualifications (e.g., CPA, ACCA).Must have experience working within the Africa market.Must have experience working within the European market.Strong expertise in accounting standards and tax regulations.Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and develop a team effectively.Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.Proficiency in financial software and tools.Strong communication and presentation skills to liaise with stakeholders.
