Estimation Manager – Space Builders LLC
Job Description:
The Estimation Manager will lead the estimation and tendering department, managing the preparation of accurate cost estimates, bids, and proposals for fit-out, design & build, and construction projects. With extensive UAE market knowledge and over 12 years of experience, the role ensures competitiveness while maintaining profitability and compliance with company standards.
Responsibilities:
1. Estimation & Costing
- Lead the preparation of detailed cost estimates, BOQs, and tender submissions for fit-out and construction projects.
- Analyze drawings, specifications, and project requirements to ensure accuracy and competitiveness.
- Coordinate with design, engineering, and procurement teams for cost data and technical input.
- Conduct value engineering and cost optimization studies to maximize efficiency.
2. Tendering & Bidding
- Review tender documents and identify risk factors, contractual obligations, and commercial terms.
- Prepare bid strategies, pricing sheets, and final proposals.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, and subcontractors during the tendering process.
- Ensure timely submission of all tenders in line with deadlines and requirements.
3. Vendor & Subcontractor Management
- Source and evaluate subcontractors and suppliers for pricing.
- Negotiate with vendors to achieve the best commercial terms.
- Maintain updated supplier/subcontractor databases and market rates.
4. Leadership & Team Management
- Lead, mentor, and develop the estimation team, ensuring high performance and accuracy.
- Allocate tasks, review work, and provide guidance on technical and commercial aspects.
- Implement best practices, systems, and procedures for continuous improvement.
5. Reporting & Compliance
- Prepare cost analysis reports, bid summaries, and management presentations.
- Ensure compliance with UAE regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
- Support management in decision-making with accurate cost and risk analysis.
