Consultant – Pediatric Vascular Surgery – Black Pearl Consult

Black Pearl is recruiting on behalf of a well-established healthcare provider in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. Provide highly specialized vascular surgical assessment and treatment for children with arterial, venous and vascular-malformation disorders. The successful physician will combine excellent clinical judgment with compassionate communication, multidisciplinary teamwork and a strong commitment to quality and patient safety.Key responsibilities·        Evaluate congenital and acquired pediatric arterial, venous and lymphatic conditions and vascular malformations.·        Perform open and endovascular procedures within approved specialty and pediatric privileges.·        Develop multidisciplinary plans with pediatric surgery, interventional radiology, hematology, cardiology and intensive care.·        Lead perioperative risk assessment, emergency consultation and longitudinal surveillance.·        Maintain detailed operative/outcome data and contribute to vascular-anomaly meetings, audit, governance, teaching and research.·        Provide safe, evidence-based, patient- and family-centered consultant care in accordance with professional standards, hospital policies and approved clinical privileges.·        Supervise junior medical staff, support multidisciplinary decision-making and promote effective communication with patients and families.·        Participate in clinical governance, incident review, quality improvement, credentialing, continuing professional development and departmental education.·        Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation and comply with infection prevention, medication safety, privacy and regulatory requirements.RequirementsTo be considered for this role, you need to meet the following criteria:Education and specialist qualifications·        Medical degree, recognized Vascular Surgery qualification (or accepted General Surgery followed by Vascular Surgery pathway), plus formal pediatric vascular training or extensive verified pediatric vascular practice.·        The exact specialty and subspecialty award must be recognized under the current UAE Professional Qualification Requirements and support the requested Consultant title.·        Completion of internship and active, unrestricted professional registration/licensure in the current or most recent country of practice.Experience and licensing·        Tier 1 qualification and DOH Consultant-level experience with recent, independently performed pediatric vascular work.·        Candidates must hold, or be eligible to obtain, a Department of Health – Abu Dhabi Consultant licence for the applicable base specialty/title.·        Applicants must demonstrate recent clinical activity, competence within the advertised scope and no unresolved licensing, credentialing or professional-standing concerns.·        For Tier 1 vacancies, the exact Tier 1 award is mandatory.
