Visual Merchandiser – Apparel Group

Position Objective

The position is responsible for developing, delivering, and communicating visual concepts that promote the brand, products, and services in-store. The role also trains and coaches store teams on visual merchandising standards and manages daily, weekly, and seasonal visual presentation activities.

Key Responsibilities

Brand Image & Store Presentation

  • Ensure brand identity and visual presentation standards are maintained across window displays and in-store areas.
  • Create attractive displays that drive customer engagement and sales.
  • Implement brand-specific visual merchandising guidelines.
  • Coordinate store displays according to brand strategy and seasonal campaigns.
  • Develop floor plans and maximize visual impact across the sales floor.
  • Arrange merchandise, fixtures, signage, mannequins, and display elements effectively.
  • Utilize creative lighting and display techniques to enhance product presentation.
  • Re-merchandise stores based on new product launches and fashion trends.
  • Ensure proper product placement and category merchandising.

Commercial & Sales Support

  • Work closely with Operations and Brand Management teams to increase sales.
  • Support promotional campaigns, product launches, and seasonal activations.
  • Maximize visibility of new collections and key commercial products.
  • Gather feedback on merchandise performance and customer response.
  • Monitor visual effectiveness and recommend improvements.

Training & Coaching

  • Train and coach Store Managers, Assistant Store Managers, and Sales Associates on VM standards.
  • Conduct regular store visits and audits.
  • Ensure VM guidelines are consistently implemented across all assigned stores.
  • Support store teams in maintaining visual standards daily.

Store Openings & Projects

  • Participate in new store openings and refits.
  • Ensure visual merchandising standards are implemented before launch.
  • Coordinate with Operations, Projects, and Brand teams during store setup.

Reporting & Documentation

  • Take photographs of all display changes and maintain VM records.
  • Submit store visit reports and action plans.
  • Track implementation of VM directives and campaign rollouts.

Market Research

  • Conduct regular research on fashion, retail, customer behavior, and market trends.
  • Benchmark competitors and identify best practices in visual merchandising.
  • Recommend innovative display concepts aligned with brand positioning.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Fashion, Visual Merchandising, Retail, Marketing, or related field.
  • 2–5 years of Visual Merchandising experience in Fashion, Footwear, Beauty, or Lifestyle Retail.
  • Strong understanding of retail display principles, planograms, and store layouts.
  • Good knowledge of fashion trends and consumer behavior.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and retail reporting tools.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to travel across stores within the UAE.
