Team Leader – Electrical Draughtsman – Al Shirawi Group
To lead and manage the electrical drafting team in preparing accurate shop drawings, layouts, and as-built drawings in compliance with project specifications, authority requirements, and company standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, supervise, and coordinate the electrical drafting team.
- Prepare and review electrical shop drawings, layouts, schematics, and as-built drawings.
- Ensure drawings comply with project specifications, contract documents, and authority regulations.
- Coordinate with electrical engineers, site teams, and other disciplines (MEP, architectural, structural) to resolve design clashes.
- Review and implement consultant/client comments on drawings.
- Maintain drawing registers and ensure timely submission and approvals.
- Ensure adherence to quality standards and project timelines.
- Support value engineering and design optimization where applicable.
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior draughtsmen.
Skills & Competencies:
- Proficient in AutoCAD, BIM and relevant drafting software (Revit knowledge is an advantage).
- Strong understanding of electrical systems including power, lighting, ELV, and earthing.
- Knowledge of local authority regulations and standards.
- Excellent coordination, communication, and leadership skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
