Senior Resident Engineer / Project Director – Construction Supervision – WSA

We are seeking an experienced Senior Resident Engineer / Project Director to oversee construction supervision for our projects in Dubai.. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in architecture and construction management, demonstrating exceptional leadership and project management skills. This role demands a proactive approach to ensure that all aspects of the construction process are executed efficiently, adhering to the highest standards of quality and safety. You will be responsible for managing on-site teams, coordinating with various stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with local regulations and building codes.

Responsibilities:

1. Lead and manage the construction supervision team, ensuring that all project activities are aligned with the project goals and timelines.
2. Develop and implement project plans, schedules, and budgets to effectively manage resources and deliver projects on time.
3. Conduct regular site inspections to monitor construction progress, quality of work, and adherence to safety protocols.
4. Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to resolve any technical issues that arise during the construction process.
5. Prepare and review project documentation, including reports, contracts, and change orders, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
6. Facilitate communication between clients, stakeholders, and team members to ensure transparency and address any concerns promptly.
7. Evaluate contractor performance and provide feedback to ensure that project standards are met.
8. Implement risk management strategies to identify potential issues and develop mitigation plans.
9. Ensure all work is completed in accordance with local regulations, building codes, and industry standards.

Preferred Candidate:

1. Proven experience as a Senior Resident Engineer or Project Director within engineering consultancy
2. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team of professionals.
3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies.
4. In-depth knowledge of construction processes, materials, and regulations specific to Dubai and the UAE.
5. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address challenges and make informed decisions.
6. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
7. Proficient in project management software and tools.
8. Relevant certifications in construction management or engineering are a plus.
9. A commitment to safety, quality, and sustainability in all aspects of construction.
