Senior IT Specialist / IT Expert

 Job Purpose

  • Supervise and technically implement all requirements related to the alignment of digital channels and services with evaluations, standards, and reports issued by the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) and the Telecommunications & Digital Government Regulatory Authority (TDRA).
  • Play a key role in ensuring the Ministry of Higher Education & Scientific Research achieves the highest possible rankings in federal entity assessments for compliance with requirements, standards, and evaluations, while coordinating with all relevant teams.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Supervise and implement all technical requirements for digital accessibility standards across digital channels (websites and services).
  2. Supervise and implement all technical requirements for the UAE Design System (DLS).
  3. Supervise and implement all technical requirements for TDRA’s Service Quality Assessment 2.0.
  4. Supervise and implement all technical requirements related to digital channels mandated by the PMO or TDRA.
  5. Implement integration with Customer Pulse according to the latest requirements.
  6. Coordinate directly with the Government Communication Department and the Customer Voice Department for website and service updates.
  7. Plan publishing, set execution timelines, and oversee implementation of digital plans.
  8. Identify errors, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues related to applications or digital platforms.
  9. Oversee integration of quality assurance tools and techniques to support effective testing processes.
  10. Coordinate with technical support teams to assist external users facing challenges with digital services.
  11. Provide regular reports on digital system challenges through quality monitoring and propose development plans.
  12. Execute digital service design by developing pilot and final versions of digital services based on testing and QA results.
  13. Implement digital service and user experience requirements.
  14. Develop digital product features and functionalities that meet business needs.
  15. Conduct post-launch evaluations of digital services to assess performance, gather user feedback, and identify areas for improvement.
  16. Deliver key service development milestones on time and within budget.
  17. Carry out any other tasks related to the department or assigned by the IT & Cybersecurity Department Head.
  18. Supervise the implementation of reports required by various organizational units.
  19. Oversee analytical studies of information systems, identify user needs, and propose alternative solutions.
  20. Supervise comprehensive analytical studies, including identifying business functions suitable for automation and preparing general IT requirement reports.
  21. Oversee the development and programming of various systems and the updating of ministry services through electronic platforms.
  22. Supervise improvement initiatives and continuous development efforts in IT and communications systems according to quality standards and propose suitable solutions.
  23. Perform any other duties assigned by the direct supervisor.
