Senior Clinical Social Worker – Black Pearl Consult

A leading healthcare organization in Dubai is seeking an experienced <b>Senior Clinical Social Worker</b> to provide professional psychosocial support to patients and their families.The successful candidate will work closely with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to assess psychosocial needs, provide counseling and support, and assist patients and families in navigating complex healthcare situations.Key ResponsibilitiesConduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments of patients and families.Identify social, emotional, financial and environmental factors affecting patient care.Develop and implement appropriate psychosocial intervention plans.Provide individual and family counseling and emotional support.Support patients and families dealing with serious or complex medical conditions.Assist families with coping, adjustment and decision-making.Provide appropriate referrals to community, social and healthcare resources.Work closely with physicians, nurses and other members of the multidisciplinary team.Participate in multidisciplinary case discussions and care planning.Maintain accurate, confidential and timely social-work documentation.Advocate for patients’ needs and support access to appropriate services.Assist with discharge planning and continuity of care.Support crisis intervention when required.Participate in education, quality improvement, research and clinical governance activities.RequirementsBachelor’s or Master’s degree in <b>Social Work, Clinical Social Work or a related recognized discipline</b>.Professional registration/licensing where applicable.Significant clinical social work experience in a hospital or healthcare setting.Senior-level experience providing psychosocial assessment and intervention.Strong counseling and communication skills.Experience working with multidisciplinary healthcare teams.Ability to manage confidential and sensitive patient information professionally.Candidates must meet the applicable DHA <b>professional registration requirements</b>, where applicable to the role.Preferred ExperienceExperience in:Hospital social workMedical and surgical servicesCritical careOncologyTransplantationOrgan and tissue donationPalliative careFamily counselingCrisis interventionDischarge planningTo know other vacancies we have, please feel free to visit our website – www.blackpearlconsult.comDisclaimer: Please note that Black Pearl will never ask any of its candidates for any payment in any form in exchange of our service in helping candidates find a job.
