Head of Legal and Compliance
Work Location: JAFZA, Dubai (office based 5 days per week)
Sector: Oil and Gas, heavy industrial, manufacturing, engineering
Salary Package: AED 35K to 45K per month total + Bonus (annual, performance based and discretionary) + Family status (if applicable): visa, medical insurance, annual flights
About the Opportunity
A well established, international, oil and gas industrial manufacturing player with over 1,000 employees and located in Jebel Ali Freezone, are seeking to appoint an experienced, hands on Head of Legal and Compliance to head up their legal function.

Required Profile
8+ years PQE in legal
Ideally, you will come with a combination of some private practice experience at the start of your career followed by in-house counsel experience for a company or companies into oil, gas, heavy industry, manufacturing, construction types of business. The in-house work experience for a heavy industrial sector player is essential.
Expertise in contract law and drafting contract agreements.
Proactive approach with stakeholder management and relations.
Must be able to train and develop a small team including a Paralegal.
Familiar with new technologies for legal and process automation is advantageous.
Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory
Arabic fluency (also) is preferred, but not essential.
