GIS Manager | Real Estate | Asset Development – Al Futtaim Group

Overview of the role: 

The GIS Manager will lead the development, implementation, and integration of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) across the company. This role ensures the company leverages GIS technologies effectively, integrates them with 3D design, BIM, building management systems, and supports data-driven decision-making for urban planning, traffic analysis, infrastructure, and asset management projects.

What you will do: 

Key Responsibilities

GIS Development & Management:

• Lead the design, development, and deployment of the company’s GIS platform.
• Ensure data accuracy, scalability, and integration with other systems.
• Develop automation scripts and tools using Python or equivalent technologies to enhance GIS functionalities.

Integration with Engineering, BIM & 3D Systems:

• Integrate GIS with 3D modeling and design software (Revit, AutoCAD, Civil 3D).
• Link GIS data with BIM and building management systems for infrastructure and asset lifecycle management.
• Support urban planning and real estate development projects by providing spatial analysis for zoning, land use, and site selection.

Transportation & Traffic Planning:

• Use GIS for traffic analysis, route optimization, and urban mobility planning.
• Integrate GIS with transportation models to support city-wide traffic and infrastructure management.

Data Visualization & Management Reporting:

• Create dashboards and interactive reports for upper management to monitor GIS insights, infrastructure, and project performance.
• Maintain governance policies and ensure data standards across all GIS and 3D systems.

Strategy & Leadership:

• Define the GIS roadmap aligned with corporate goals and urban development strategy.
• Lead, mentor, and coordinate with GIS, engineering, and IT teams.
• Collaborate with government authorities, consultants, and internal stakeholders for adoption of GIS best practices.
