Foreman – Chilled Water (CHW) – Al Shirawi Group
The Foreman – Chilled Water (CHW) is responsible for supervising site technicians and workers involved in the installation, testing, and commissioning of chilled water systems, ensuring work is executed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with project specifications.
Key Responsibilities Site Supervision
- Supervise technicians and helpers for CHW system installation, including chillers, pumps, AHUs, FCUs, piping, valves, and insulation.
- Ensure installation works are carried out as per approved drawings, specifications, and method statements.
- Monitor daily progress and report to the HVAC Supervisor.
Technical Responsibilities
- Assist in reading and interpreting HVAC/CHW drawings and layouts.
- Ensure proper installation, alignment, and connection of CHW system components.
- Support testing, balancing, and commissioning activities under guidance.
Coordination & Communication
- Coordinate with other MEP trades to prevent clashes and ensure smooth workflow.
- Communicate daily progress, challenges, and requirements to the HVAC Supervisor.
Planning & Material Control
- Ensure availability of required tools, materials, and equipment for daily activities.
- Monitor proper use of materials and report shortages or damages.
- Assign tasks and manage manpower efficiently on site.
Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)
- Enforce compliance with HSE policies and site safety rules.
- Conduct safety briefings for technicians and helpers under supervision.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain daily work records and assist in preparing reports.
- Assist in documenting inspection requests (IRs), test reports, and other necessary paperwork.
