EXPERT ENGINEER – SERVER & STORAGE – e& UAE
- Lead the patch management process, including the timely deployment of patches and its relevant updates to ensure the security, stability, and performance of services.
- Manage the process of evaluating patches to determine their criticality, impact on the IT systems, and compatibility with existing infrastructure & applications as well as ensure being updated on the latest software vulnerabilities and patches released.
- Ensure patches are tested for functionality, compatibility, and potential conflicts with existing infrastructure & applications.
- Plan and coordinate the deployment of patches across the infrastructure & Applications. This involves creating deployment schedules, coordinating with system administrators and application owners, monitoring the progress of patch installations.
- Review the reports on patch management activities, compliance status, and key performance indicators (KPIs) for management review.
- Collaborate with various stakeholders, including IT teams, Information security teams, vendors, and business units, to gather requirements, communicate patches schedules, and address concerns. Effective communication and coordination are critical to ensure smooth patches operations and minimize the risk of system vulnerabilities.
- Oversee the execution of patches & updates deployments, closely monitoring progress, and addressing any issues or roadblocks that may arise. Ensure that deployments are conducted according to the defined plans, with minimal disruptions to end-users or services performance and availability.
- Resolve Windows operating system related issues and provide technical advice.
- Ensure updates are happening on a regular basis.
- You will be responsible for not only development but delivery of these processes.
- Deploying and managing patches for operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux) and third-party applications.
- Preparing patching schedules in agreement with the client.
- Installing and managing Patch Manager Plus agents on client endpoints to facilitate efficient patching.
- Customizing patch deployment policies, schedules, and end-user notifications to align with specific business
