Electrical Engineer (Interior fit-out) – Alert International
Description
In this role, you will be responsible for designing, executing, and managing all electrical aspects of interior fit-out works in line with project specifications, timelines, and safety regulations.
Role & Responsibilities:
Design & Planning:
o Review architectural and interior design drawings and develop corresponding electrical layout plans.
o Prepare load schedules, single-line diagrams, riser diagrams, and circuiting plans as per project requirements.
o Coordinate with interior designers, HVAC, plumbing, and civil teams for seamless service integration.
o Conduct load calculations, cable sizing, and selection of switchgear and panels.
Project Execution:
o Supervise and manage electrical installations at the site, including lighting, power sockets, DBs, earthing, and ELV systems.
o Ensure compliance with approved shop drawings, project specifications, and local authority standards.
o Perform inspection and testing of electrical systems; ensure timely rectification of defects or snags.
o Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery and installation of materials and equipment.
Documentation & Compliance:
o Prepare Bill of Quantities (BOQ), technical submittals, and method statements.
o Liaise with local authorities for approvals and inspections.
o Maintain project documentation, site logs, test reports, and as-built drawings.
Quality Control & Safety:
o Ensure all work adheres to safety codes and standards.
o Identify and mitigate site risks related to electrical installations.
o Conduct toolbox talks and ensure safety compliance by electrical labor teams.
