Description
Establish and scale a new Data Science function, defining tools, frameworks, and best practices from scratch.Build predictive and prescriptive models to support investment decision-making, portfolio optimisation, and risk management.Design and implement data acquisition, cleansing, and enrichment pipelines for internal and external financial datasets.Work closely with investment teams to translate business objectives into analytical and AI/ML solutions.Recruit, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of data scientists and engineers.Ensure all models and analytics meet rigorous governance, compliance, and ethical standards.Stay ahead of emerging technologies to drive continuous innovation in the investment analytics space.
Profile
Advanced degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field.12 years combined experience, with at least 7 years of experience in Data Science roles, including leadership in building or scaling teams.Proven track record in developing investment analytics, financial modelling, or quantitative research solutions.Proficiency in Python, R, or similar languages, and familiarity with relevant ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn).Experience with cloud-based data platforms and big data tools.Strong business acumen in financial services, asset management, or investment strategy.Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior leadership.
