Associate, Criminal Practice (Dubai) – UCL GLOBAL FZCO

About the Role:

UCL I Dr. Khaled is an international law firm operating in the UAE, Russia, Mauritius, Hong Kong and the United Kingdom (London). We advise businesses and private clients across jurisdictions. We are looking for an Associate to join the Criminal practice in our Dubai office and work on complex criminal cases, including economic and white-collar crimes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Criminal Cases: Participate in cases at the police investigation, Public Prosecution and court stages.
• Defence Strategy: Analyse evidence, assess criminal law risks and develop defence strategies, including in white-collar cases.
• Procedural Documents: Draft complaints, motions, legal memoranda, appeals and other documents.
• Interaction: Work with the police, Public Prosecution, courts and experts; communicate directly with clients.

Requirements:

• Education: Law degree with specialisation in Criminal Law or White Collar Crimes.
• Experience: 3+ years in UAE criminal law and criminal procedure.
• Knowledge: UAE criminal legislation and criminal procedure; practice of the police, Public Prosecution and criminal courts.
• Skills: Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, ability to work under tight deadlines, business communication.
• Ethics: Professional ethics, confidentiality and high quality standards.
• Languages: Native Arabic, English B2 or higher.
• Plus: Experience handling UAE criminal cases at the police, Public Prosecution and court stages; cases involving fraud, misappropriation of assets, corporate misconduct and other economic crimes.
